The spiritual leader of Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu has assured that Nigeria has the prospects of becoming a more prominent and prosperous country.
He also asserted that His proclamation is because the country is the abode of God.
This was contained in his goodwill message to Nigerians on their 63rd independence anniversary signed by the spokesman of the organisation, Patriarch Christ Shepherd Amah Williams.
But, he has however called for a foundational reconstruction and building of a stronger, moral and spiritual foundation.
He emphasized that these must now be the main priority for Nigeria’s leaders and people.
“A more solid foundation based on love for God and one another, justice, and fair opportunity for all must now replace fundamental beliefs and behaviours that have thrived on deception, hatred, and greed because, as our Lord Jesus Christ stated, only a house built on a solid foundation can stand forever.”
He charged Nigeria’s leaders of different spheres to be ready to forgive, tolerate divergent opinions and respect each other.
He emphasized much on need for peace and unity of the country.
“Leaders of this nation should know that peace emanates from an individual’s place of humility, tolerance, forgiveness, forbearance and the willingness to forgo possessions or pains for the sake of peace. Therefore, leaders at all levels must be ready to forgive, tolerate divergent opinion and respect each other.”
Adored as the King of kings and Lord of lords by his adherents, He congratulates Nigerians, both at home and abroad, for their tenacity, dedication to the advancement of their country, and enviably unwavering sense of patriotism that characterises its people everywhere.
He noted that by the sheer grace of God, the country has maintained its status as a continuously developing nation despite numerous difficulties, acknowledging its citizens are making their imprints on the international stage for various admirable causes.
