Governor of Kebbi State, Alhaji Nasir Idris

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has received a team of 22 doctors, nurses and experts in medicine into the state who would partake in free medical outreach in Birnin Kebbi.
The governor, who was represented by the Head of Service, Safiyanu Garba-Bena, received the team by Professor Ibrahim Yanmis in Birnin Kebbi.
Governor Idris said his administration would strengthen the healthcare system in the state especially in the areas of paying its counterpart funding to any donor agency that would assist the state to achieve the set objectives.
The team would be in the state for four working days and expected to embark on medical outreach in various ailments bedevilling the teaming populace of the state especially cateract and other common diseases.
In his short remarks, the team leader, Professor Ibrahim Yanmis appreciated the gesture of the governor for finding the personnel worthy of contributing their quota in uplifting the standard of healthcare delivery in the state.
He noted that the wealth and growth of any nation largely depended on the health of its people stressing that the team would definitely justify the confidence government reposed in them.
