Wikki Tourists FC Interim Management visits Police Command, requests synergy

The Interim Management Committee of Wikki Tourists FC of Bauchi has requested for collaboration with the Nigeria Police  in the area of security provision during its home matches in the fast approaching Nigeria National League Season.

The Interim Management Committee members visited the office of the Commissioner of Police, Auwal Musa  Mohammed on a courtesy visit.

A member of the Committee, Umar Saidu who spoke on behalf of other members said the visit was to formally introduce themselves and also seek for cooperation as the league draws near.

He described Police as critical stakeholders in their activities hence the need to work together especially in the area of maintaining law and order before, during and after each match the Club will play at home commending them on the roles being played and urged them to maitain the tempo.

Umar Saidu then extended  an invitation to the Police Commissioner to be the Special guest of Honour during its first match on Saturday 4/11/23 at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Memorial Stadium, Bauchi.

In his response, the Police Commissioner, Auwal Musa Mohammed expressed appreciation for the visit, assuring of the Command’s support and cooperation at all times.

Auwal Musa Mohammed  emphasized the importance of Sports especially football in the society which he said gives the youths opportunity to showcase their talents thereby taking them away from evil vices.

He then prayed for the Success of Wikki Tourists FC in the coming Season.

The 2023/24 Nigeria National League Season will kick off on Saturday 28/10/2023,while Wikki Tourists first game will be against visiting EFCC of Abuja on Saturday 4/11/2023 as contained in a statement by Wikki Tourists FC Media. 

Meanwhile, Players of Wikki Tourists fc  on Wednesday, underwent the mandatory medical test ahead of the 2023/24 Nigeria National League Season, (nnl) kick off.

The medical test was carried out by the medical team of the Club at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium Medical Centre 

headed by the Team Doctor, Umar Abubakar.

The test was part of registration requirements by the league organisers,nnl for teams to feature in  the league.

Dr Umar Abubakar while speaking to the Club Media said that the conduct of the exercise was successful and the players are good to go.

The Nigeria National League,nnl Committee has fixed Saturday, 28 of October 2023 as  the kick off date of the 2023/24 Season.

WIkki Tourists fc will welcome EFCC  FC on Saturday 4th November 2023 in their first game of the Season as contained in a statement by WTFC Media.
