Former military administrator, ex Head of Service of the Federation among 15 eminent persons to review Cross River extant policies

Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River State has approved the appointment of former military administrator of Kwara State, Colonel Pam Ogar, former Head of Service of Federation, Mrs Winifred Oyo-Ita and former Executive Secretary of National Planning Commission, (NPC), Ntufam Fidelis Ugbo to lead the review of extant polices of the state.
They are part of the 15-man committee composed of other top technocrats and eminent personalities that have been part of the development of the state and nation at different times.
The need to review some or all of the state policies had been echoed over time by critical stakeholders, saying such would reposition the state for better impact and inclusiveness.
In a statement signed by Chief Press Secretary to Governor Otu, it said the state executive council ratified the composition of the State Policy Review Committee.
The statement said in part that “The eminent personalities will help to review extant policies in order to ensure policies and plans align with the current trends and best practices.”
Secretary of the Policy Review Committee is a former legislator and former Commissioner for Aviation in the state, Jake Otu Enyia.
Other members are Prof. Eyo Etim Nyong, Mr. Dave Ashang, Dr. Fidelis Obo, Chief Patrick C. Okem, Mr. Bassey Kooffreh, Mr. Sylvester Mgbe, and Engr. Effiong Bassey.
Others are Dr. Julius, Okputu, Mr. Gabriel Achong (CP rtd), Chief P. J. Ekunke, and Dr. Ajah Ekwan Ajah.
They are to be sworn in in due course.
