IGP Egbetokun condemns attack on Adamawa Police Command, assures perpetrators will be punished

The Inspector-General of Police, (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun has condemned the recent attack on Adamawa State Police command by some unidentified “recalcitrant” armed forces.
The IGP made the remarks on a visit to Yola on Tuesday.
He said perpetrators of the dastardly act are brought to justice and urged the personnel not to be demoralized by that act.
According to him, the leadership of the Police under his watch will ensure the safety, security and overall welfare of personnel.
He urged the Police to sustain joint operations with other security personnel in order to rid the state from the menace of undesirable elements.
The IGP thanked the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Adamawa Concerned Citizens, Adamawa hunters with remarkable donations and support to the family of inspector Jacob Daniel who was killed during the night invasion of the police command.
Adamawa State Commissioner of Police Afolabi Babatola thanked the IGP for the visit and concerns especially in the wake of the invision of the Police Command.
At Government House, Yola, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri assured the IGP of absolute support and cooperation of his administration to the Nigerian Police towards maintenance of law and order of the state.
