Cross River deputy govenor commissions skills centre for kinsmen

The Deputy Governor of Cross River State, Mr Peter Odey has commissioned a skills acquisition centre built at Idum, Mbube in Ogoja Local Government Area for the benefit of his kinsmen and other Nigerians.
The commissioning was part of activities by the Mvube people to welcome and celebrate the deputy governor who hails from the senatorial district.
The deputy governor said that the skills acquisition center is for the benefit of members of the community.
The centre was built by Rural Africa Industrial Skills & Empowerment (RAISE) Foundation with support from the deputy governor and a retired NNPC official, Engr. David Abang.
The reception of the deputy governor by the 13 communities of Mbube Nation held at the Lutheran Primary School Grounds, Ekumtak, Mbube, Ogoja.
The organizers said the reception was to serve as an opportunity for them to celebrate their son’s political achievements and rise, and to show gratitude for his dedication and service to the Ogoja people and state in general.

The Mbube Nation showcased their cultural heritage, traditions and customs during the reception.
