Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims, representing Ankpa, Olamaboro and Omala Federal Constituency of Kogi State, is the Deputy Majority Leader in the House of Representatives.

As one of the principal officers of the National Assembly, Hon. Halims has great power, influence and privileges among his colleagues and constituents.

However, his humble disposition naturally restraint him from abusing such power and privileges in the exercise of his official and private conduct.

Instead, his matured handling of issues has always dictated his comments and position on most important and intricate problems.

For example, in his reaction to the recent presentation of 2024 Appropriation budget which was presented by President Bola Tinubu to be nation through the National Assembly, Hon. Halims urged Nigerians to be patience with the measures being taken by the Federal Government towards addressing the many problems confronting the country.

He believes that much as the problems of economy, insecurity, kidnapping, banditry, drug addiction among the youths, political violence across Nigeria among others are worrisome, most of these issues would gradually be resolved in view of the positive steps being taken by federal government to tackle them.

According to him, “I am aware of the great pains Nigerians are facing over the declining economic situation in the country such as poverty, unemployment and high cost of food items. I am also aware of the suffering of Nigerians in several places within the country as a result of armed robbery, inadequate education and health facilities for the poor Nigerians. I want to appeal to everybody concerned that this Federal Government is doing many things positively to address them gradually by bringing them fully to the end by the Grace of God.”

Hon. Halims emphasized that the solution to Nigerian problems demand collective efforts from every individual who is expected to play his or her own part for peace and unity of this great country.

Mr. President therefore needs maximum support and cooperation from everyone in order to enable the Federal Government implement the 2024, for the benefit of average Nigerians.
