Gombe NSCDC beef up security for Christmas, new year celebrations

Gombe State Command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has deployed 780 personnel made up of Officers and Men across the state for operation before, during and after the Christmas and New Year, 2024 celebrations in order to ensure a hitch free festive period.
The Commandant, Muhammad Bello Muazu has also directed Area Commanders, Divisional Officers and Tactical Commanders drawn from the Counter Terrorism Unit CTU, Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT), Chemical, Biological Radiological Nuclear and Explosives (CBRNE) to ensure that adequate personnel are deployed at all vulnerable points across the State.
They are also to safeguard all places of worships, critical infrastructures, designated markets, motor parks including recreational centers.
Commandant Muazu therefore appealed to the members of the general public to be moderate in their celebrations and be vigilant and security conscious.
He maintained that personnel will display a high sense of vigour and professionalism while discharging their duties.
He equally, assured members of the public that the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Gombe State Command will be polite and civil but firm in ensuring security and safety of lives and properties as contained in a statement by SC Buhari Saad, Command PRO.
