About 160 participants, women and girls including Persons Living With Disability (PLWD) across the four targeted local government areas were empowered in Adamawa and Taraba states.

The local governments are Mubi North, Mubi South in Adamawa State and Jalingo and Gassol local governments of Taraba State.

They were trained by Hopeful Women Initiative (HWI) with its collaborators on packaging, branding and marketing skills of locally produced goods at the 3-day workshop held from 19th to 21st, March 2024 at Modibbo Adama University, Yola.

According to a statement by HWI, the workshop was aimed to “empower young women entrepreneurs with necessary skills and knowledge to effectively package, brand and market their locally produced goods, making them competitive in their respective markets.

“To equip young women with practical skills in creating strong and distinctive brand identities that differentiate their products from competitors and appeal consumers,” the statement noted.
