Eid-el-kabir: Pray for peace, unity of Taraba, Nigeria – Senator Manu, Sani, others urge Muslim ummah

As Taraba Muslims join their counterparts world over to observe this year’s eid-el-kabir celebration, prominent stakeholders in the state have urged the people to intensify more prayers for the unity, peace and progress of the state and nation as a whole.

In a message, Senator representing Taraba Central Senatorial District, Engr. Haruna Manu while congratulating muslim ummah for peaceful anniversary shortly after observing this year’s sallah prayer at Mutum Biyu, his country home in Gassol Local Government, appreciated almighty Allah for sustaining peace and unity across board.

He said the occasion calls for sober reflection as the nation was undergoing numerous challenges and pointed out that, soon Nigeria will bounce back, just as he urged all and sundry to pray for leaders at all levels.

To former Taraba State Acting Governor, Senator, Alhaji Sani Abubakar Danladi who noted that despite the state of the nation, there’s every need to thank Almighty Allah who made it possible for them to witness this year’s sallah celebration.

According to him, Nigerians should not relent in praying, pointing out that it remains secret to terminate the impediments facing the nation.

Senator Danladi who sued for unity, peace, and progress of Taraba and Nigeria while congratulating Muslims ummah also prayed for entire Muslims and Christians and its leaders to succeed so that the nation will surmount the present hardship.

Also, chairman Association of Local government of Nigeria (ALGON) Taraba State chapter/chairman Jalingo Local Government Council, Dr. Aminu Jauro Hassan in his message thanked Allah for his mercy despite human inadequacies.

While applauding the state Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas for the provision of a peaceful atmosphere in the state, Jauro called on Tarabans to keep praying and support the present administration to continue with peoples oriented projects.

The state ALGON boss urged Muslims particularly pilgrims currently at Holy Land not to relent in prayers for successful administration of Kefas and the peace of the State and Nigeria.

Meanwhile, Honorable Ismaila Zakari Dangote, chairman, Ardo-Kola Local Government Council, saluted Muslims for peaceful celebration, urging them to appreciate almighty Allah who granted lives and health to witness yet another sallah.

Hon. Dangote who prays for peace in the state, thanked Kefas for ensuring security of lives and property in the council, stressing that, sallah celebration was made possible due to prompt intervention of the governor to the area over security threat some couple of weeks ago.

He therefore called youth in the area to rally round the state government in his efforts to provide more dividends of democracy to Ardo-kola council and state in general.
