Nasarawa United FC Lafia goes on 2 weeks break

Nasarawa United has returned to the Nigeria Premier League

Following the successful completion of the 2023/24 Nigeria National League Season and subsequent promotion to the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League, Nasarawa United FC Lafia is taking a two-week break.

The break will provide our players and officials with a well-deserved rest and opportunity to recharge before we resume our competitive campaign in the elite domestic football league for next season.

This was contained in a statement by the Media Officer of the club, Eche Amos on Sunday.

He said with the elite league’s governing body hinting of the commencement of 2024/25 NPFL Season on 31st August, 2024, the break will end on Sunday, 14th July, and training resumes on Monday, 15th July, 2024.

According to the statement, the club specially extends its warmest appreciation and gratitude to Engr. Abdullahi Sule, the Governor of Nasarawa State, whose unwavering financial and moral supports, fatherly counsel, enthusiasm and belief in the team have been the driving force behind the team’s success.

The Deputy Governor, His Excellency, Dr. Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe, whose immense supports, inspiring messages, presence and solidarity in sundry ways have been the propellers to the actualization of our set goals, the statement said.

It expressed gratitude to the State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development headed by Hon. Jafaru Ango, who continue to be our guides and fulcrum, in thick and thin, in ensuring the attainment of the mandate of the Club.

Also, the Board of the Nasarawa State Football Association chaired by Salisu Usman Galadima ‘Basira’ as well as the Nasarawa State Football Referees’ Council headed by Isah Mohammed, for all your technical, psychological supports and guidance.

It also appreciated the ever present Supporters’ Club led by Jibrin Ali ‘Baggio’, their thunderous cheers, unwavering belief in the team’s potential, and unconditional support throughout the Season energised the team to achieve success.

The club also thanked the media for relentless and unbiased coverage of its activities and always putting it in positive perspective in the news headlines.
