Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri has commended the Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission (ADSIEC) for organizing a credible elections process across the twenty-one local government areas of the state.

Governor Fintiri stated this after casting his vote in his home country Kirchinga unit of Madagali Local Government Area.

The told journalists that before he leaves office in 2027, a new crop of politicians would emerge in the state’s political helm of affairs.

According to him, his government is youth and women-conscious and the state will have young people who know the multidimensional nature of the state to rule.

He said, “I’ll nurture young politicians with intelligence and intellectual ability, knowledge of the state, and vast experience to take the state to the next level of development”.

In another development, major opposition parties refuse to participate in the 13, July election.

Dr. Philip Dan Duwe the executive chairman of Taraba State Independent Electoral Commission who led a team of 16 Electoral Commissioners to monitor the election, said the conduct of the election was excellent.

“I’m here to lead members of the forum for state electoral commissions of Nigeria on a solidarity support. Sixteen of us are here, either chairmen or their representatives are physically here. That goes to show our solidarity with government and people of Adamawa State in compliance with the constitution.

“But very importantly, the security of the election is very commendable. The electoral commission is in charge of the process. You can see people going to vote. We have confirmed availability of election materials both sensitive and non sensitive,” he said.
