Bauchi Emirate approves appointment of Adamu Duguri, Governor Mohammed’s elder brother as Council member

Alhaji Adamu Muhammad Duguri, District Head of Duguri, Bauchi Emirate Council member

The Chairman, Bauchi State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) and elder brother of Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, Alhaji Adamu Mohammed Duguri, has been appointed as a Council member of Bauchi Emirate.

Alhaji Duguri is currently the Sarkin Duguri (District Head of Duguri) and now a member of the Council representing the District Heads in the Emirate.

The appointment was contained in a letter dated 11, July 2024 and signed by
Alhaji Shehu Mudi Muhammad, Council Secretary, Bauchi Emirate.

The letter reads: “I am directed to write and refers to Local Government Service Commission letter No. LGSC/LGA/S/17/T.I/080 dated 2nd July, 2024 and to convey to you, His Royal Highness approval for your appointment as Council Member representing the District Heads to fill the vacant position of District Head Representative.”

It further contained, “While congratulating you for a well deserved appointment, accept the Council’s esteem regards, please.”

In a letter titled ‘Re-Request for Appointment of Alh. Adamu Muhammad Duguri as Council Member representing the District Heads, the Local Government Service Commission had conveyed its approval to the Emirate Council.

The letter reads:”I am directed to refer to your letter No. BEC/ADM/LGC/2/VOL.D 8th May, 2024 on the above subject matter and convey the Commission’s approval for the appointment of Alh. Adamu Muhammad Duguri (District Head of Duguri) as Council member of the Emirate to fill the vacant seat of representative of District Heads in the Council.

“While congratulating the District Head for a well-deserved appointment, accept the Commission’s esteemed regards, please.”
