The South East Renewed Hope Ambassadors (SERHA) has lauded President Bola Tinubu for his initiative and doggedness for democracy to thrive at the grassroot in the country.
The group said it was President Tinubu’s political sagacity that made him to continue to push for the Local Government autonomy that culminated in the outcome of the Supreme Court judgment on Local Government autonomy few days ago in Abuja.
The group in a resolution after their Executive Meeting in Enugu, Friday said the judgment of the apex Court was indeed a welcome development and maintained that dividends of democracy can now get to the grassroot and Nigerians at large.
The resolution was signed by Arinzechukwu Awogu, President of SERHA, Dr. Ugochukwu Ugwu, Vice President, Comrade Nwogba Morgan U Secretary General among other Executive Members.
They applauded the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR), for his good intentions for Nigerians and for approaching the apex court through the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice which brought about the ruling that has set the tone for the emancipation of the tier of government that is closer to the people.
South East Renewed Hope Ambassadors equally used the medium to urge Mr President to ensure full implementation of the court judgment, particularly the aspect that relates to lNEC conducting the forthcoming local government elections across the affected 20 States and not State Independent Electoral Commission (SIEC).
