As the planned nationwide protest against bad governance in the country heightens, planners of the event and the entire Nigerian youths have been urged to shelve the plan and embrace dialogue and roundtable discussions to sort the issues.

The call was made by the the Office of the North East Youths Ambassador, represented by Comrade Haruna Usman in a statement made available to Journalists in Bauchi late Tuesday.

The statement calls on the Youths of Nigeria to suspend their plans for the peaceful protest scheduled for next week.

The group stated that, “We urge all youths in the North East to halt their plans for the protest. Our subregion is renowned for our love of peace and respect for our leaders and elders.”

It stressed that, “We encourage the youths to pray to Almighty Allah and trust in His guidance instead. The planned protest appears to be an orchestrated effort by those who do not support the government of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, aiming to distract the government from the remarkable development work it has already accomplished.”

“This government has achieved significant progress, and it is crucial that we support its efforts rather than hinder them. Therefore, on behalf of the North East Ambassadors, we call on all Nigerian youth to cease any plans for protests. This movement is nothing more than an attempt to destabilize our country,” it added.

According to the group,”For the betterment of Nigeria, we must stand together, support our government, and continue to pursue peace and progress.”
