As the planned nationwide protest against bad governance tagged #EndBadGovernanceinNigeria heightens, President Bola Tinubu has been urged to as a matter of urgency, implore democratic and diplomatic means of resolving the issues.

The call was made by a children’s group known as ‘Nigerian Concern Children Forum’ (NCCF) while reacting to the development during a press conference in Bauchi on Monday.

Convener General of NCCF, A’isha Hassan Saraki, a student of Sunshine International School, Bauchi, said that, “We are here to address the nation, especially our father, His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, regarding the planned protest by some Nigerians who are unhappy with the current state of the country.”

Aisha added that, “Your Excellency, Sir, as your grandchildren, who are among the most vulnerable and affected whenever there is a breach of law and order, we ask that you do everything humanly and democratically possible to address the key challenges facing our country.”

Eight-year-old A’isha further pleaded, “We are appealing on behalf of our parents and the nation as a whole for you to find a way to address these challenges to ensure peace in the country.”

Another participant, Precious Fashola from Ogun State, also appealed to the protesters to reconsider their plans and advised the President to engage them in dialogue.
