Journalists, residents lauds Yobe Governor Buni for construction of roads, drainages

The residents of four local government, Bade, Nangere, Gulani and Fika in Yobe State, have commended Governor Mai Mala Buni for construction of access roads across various parts of the state.

The residents made the comments in separate interviews during an inspection tour organised by the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Yobe Council.

A resident of Tagali, Bade local Government Mallam Kakdu Kafayo, said the 10km Chumbusko – Tagali road had made life easier for them.

According to him, ” Before the provision of the road, we could hardly transport our farm produce to various markets within and outside the state.
“Now we are happy to be connected to the other part of the state,” he said.

Another resident, Malam Sama’ila Tagali, a motorist also commended the governor and appealed for storage facilities for preservation and storage of their produce.

Also, speaking to Journalists, the Village Head of Chukuriwa Alhaji Mihammadu Chukuriwa, also commended Govenor Buni for 16.5km Dawasa, Chukuriwa, Kukuri art road.

He said the road has linked several villages along the route with major town of Potiskum.

He added that the people of the three communities will remained grateful for the Commissioner of Works, who had been the facilitated the project.

The Vice Chairman of the local government, said this is one of the project being jubilated by entire citizens of this locality.

Headed that, ” It has taken some decades before it’s actualisation. That is why it is a very historic on and a legacy to this administration.

He added that the project had linked about five wards and three local government areas of Fika, Gujba and Gulani.

In his remarks, the NUJ Chairman yobe council, Rajab Mohammed Ismail expressed appreciation of the projects and commended Governor Mai Mala Buni for his outstanding performance.

Rajab called on other governors to emulate the governor for overall development of the country.

He also appealed to the people of the state to continue giving their support and maximum cooperation to the Governor Buni in order to move the state forward despite the security challengers.
