Taraba Government to prosecute tractor owners with forged stickers
Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas launches tractors

Taraba State Government has warned tractor owners in the state against forgery or duplication of its stickers or face persecution.
The General Manager of Taraba State Tractor Hiring Unit (THU) Engineer Danladi Shatalis gave the warning during interview with our correspondent in Jalingo Thursday.
He said it will no longer be business as usual as government has uncovered sharp practices by tractor owners to sabotage its intention on the new approved stickers by State Board of Internal Revenue (BIR).
In the interim, the General Manager said henceforth any individual or group found in the act will be persecuted.
He pointed out that as a government agency saddled with responsibility of ensuring tractor owners in the state obtained government approved stickers for 2024, will not fold its arms watching saboteurs trying to rob government good intention and overall development of the state.
The General Manager who noted with dismay the negative attitudes of some tractor owners disclosed that many have been operating for more than ten years without adhering to government policies regulating their operations, a situation he vowed will no longer be tolerated.
While applauding Governor Agbu Kefas administration in bringing on board the Managing Director of State Board of Internal Revenue, General Jeremiah Faransa (rtd) noted there will be no stone to be left unturned than to achieve the noble goals and ensure strict compliance in that direction.
Engr. Shatalis appealed to them to come forward to the agency for the new stickers as well as number plates for tractors which he said will be issued by the board of internal revenue.
