The call was made by the General Manager of TCN, Bauchi Regional Office, Engineer Abubakar Garba Abdulaziz, during an interactive session with the media at his office on Friday.

He also emphasized the need for collaboration among key stakeholders involved in electricity generation, transmission, and distribution to ensure a reliable power supply across the nation.

Abubakar Garba Abdulaziz, solicited for the support of both religious and traditional leaders to raise awareness and mobilize communities to protect the company’s facilities, thereby ensuring uninterrupted power supply.

He assured that the TCN possesses the necessary workforce to operate the 27 generation stations scattered throughout the country.

He also pointed out that the Bauchi regional office oversees six states in the northeast, including Plateau, and parts of Kaduna and Kano states.

He further noted, “The TCN Bauchi office boasts the largest transmission network, designed to meet the power demands and aspirations of the region’s residents.”

The TCN Regional Manager also expressed concern over the persistent vandalism of transmission lines and illegal encroachments on the right of way, which disrupted operational efficiency.
