Commercial flights resume at Suntai Airport Jalingo after upgrade

Commercial flight has commenced at the Danbaba Suntai Airport Jalingo Taraba State with Overland Airlines making the first flight on Thursday after the remodelling and upgrade of infrastructure of the Airport by Governor Agbu Kefas.

Before take off, Flight Operation’s Manager of Overland Airways, Captain Gilbert Sampa, congratulated Tarabans for the successful upgrading of the airport.

Speaker Taraba State House of Assembly Rt Hon John Kizito Bonzena who was among top Government officials that witnessed the take off of the first flight thanked Governor Kefas for his good work in the State.

He said the remodelling of the Airport by the Governor will no doubt open up the State to investors and the outside world.
and lauded the Governor for prioritizing security which stabilized the State.

The Secretary to the Government of Taraba State, Chief Gebon Timothy Kataps, thanked the Governor for his unwavering commitment to opening up the State for development partners and investors for the progress of the State

Kataps said in no distance time there will be daily flights in and outside the State where more airlines will fly to the State.

In his remarks, Chief of Staff Government House Administration, Dr Jeji Williams said the development at the Airport is commendable saying that the Airport is going to have a cargo section, which is being developed and urged Tarabans to give the Governor the necessary support and cooperation.
