Over 50 support groups in Anambra root for Prince Ukachukwu

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the November 8, 2025, Anambra State governorship election, Prince (Dr.) Nicholas Ukachukwu, appears to be enjoying a flurry of grassroot support across Anambra State as over 50 support groups have lined up behind his aspiration.

The National Coordinator of Ikemba Front, Sir Arinzechukwu Awogu stated this in Onitsha, the commercial nerve centre of the state, during a meeting with the 21 Local Government Area Coordinators of political cum social group known as “Ikukuoma Golden Ladies”.

Sir Awogu said that it has been a torrent of support since the emergence of Prince Ukachukwu as the candidate of the APC. “Formidable politically active groups have made known their support and preference for Prince Ukachukwu and have gone ahead to endorse him. They have intensified grassroot support canvassing for support for Prince Ukachukwu”, who he said has further increased the popularity of the APC candidate among the people.
The Convener of Anambra State Equity Movement, another political/religious group rooting for Prince Ukachukwu, Hon. Tony Uche Ezekwelu, and Dr. Chike Ekwueme,earlert had appreciated the members of Ikukuoma Golden Ladies for their dedication towards the success of Prince Ukachukwu’s governorship aspiration, noting that the efforts of the group and such other groups cannot go unnoticed.

The Coordinator of Ikukuoma Golden Ladies, Lady Onyeka Anwadike, in her remarks said that they were part of late Sen. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah’s political family but decided to collapse into Ikukuoma Golden Ladies to provide a window of opportunity for them to pursue the dream of Sen. Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah.
He said that their main reason for joining Prince Ukachukwu was that they saw in him the fulfillment of the aspirations of late Sen. Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah.
