Bauchi PDP governorship candidate, Senator Bala Mohammed

Determined to have a good packaging that can assist him through the struggles to actualize his ambition and the wish of the majority in Bauchi State in February’s Governorship Election, the Bala Mohammed Campaign Organization, has approved the appointment of a seasoned journalist, Alhaji Maigari Mohammed Kanna, as its Director of Publicity and Public Affairs.
In an exclusive interview with Apex News in Bauchi, Alhaji Kanna revealed that he accepted the offer as part of his contribution to the ongoing struggle to elect a credible and reasonable administration that will not only give the good people of Bauchi State the much needed security to lives and property, but will also carry the people along as expected of any democratic organization.
According to him, the present APC administration in state, has only succeeded in misusing public funds entrusted to it for service to the people from the federation account with only eye-catching projects that are situated by the road sides, stressing that, it is only in Bauchi State that projects are executed without consultation and proper planning to deceive the people that all is well with the state despite the it pathetic economic situation as one of the most backward and poorest in the country.
“Go to the specialist hospitals here, in Bauchi, all you can see are beautiful flowers, red-roofs but no beds, no beddings, no drugs and dressings and the needed expertise is not there but every important visitor to the state is promptly taken there to be deceived by those that fail to advise the Governor on the importance of addressing the real needs of the electorates in the state,” he said.
The former Director of Press in the state and Managing Director of the state radio station before retirement, revealed that as a democratic out-fit that has started the struggle to replace the present administration in the state, he and his fearless and progressive colleagues, are prepared to protect the interest of the electorate and the people of the state against any form of rigging of the election in the state.
Commenting on the relationship between the Bala Mohammed Campaign Organization and Senator Abdul Ningi’s camp of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, the spokesman of the Kaura Bauchi campaign organization disputed that there was and is nothing like Abdul Ningi camp of PDP in the state. “We have only one united PDP in the state. We are working together with Senator Abdul Ningi in his capacity as a true democrat that is interested in the progress of the state through democracy. I assure you we are very close with him and we shall continue to be work together and with all those who were denied the right to aspire to political prominence on the APC platform in the state. We love them, we need them and we shall assist and encourage them to actualize their ambition in PDP,” he explained.
Meanwhile the, the campaign organization has cautioned its supporters against acts of vandalism, hooliganism and thuggery even if attacked or provoked by other campaign organizations that are now all out to create confusion towards the breakdown of law and order in the state as strategy of blackmailing the Bala Mohammed Campaign for myopic reasons.
