Katsina Governor Radda mourns Super Eagles shot-stopper Peter Rufai

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has expressed grief over the passing of legendary Nigerian goalkeeper, Peter Rufai, describing his death as a monumental loss to Nigerian football and the entire sporting community.
Governor Radda said the demise of the former Super Eagles captain represents the end of an era in Nigerian football history.
This was contained in a statement by Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Katsina State.
The Governor recalled Rufai’s outstanding contributions to Nigerian football, particularly his heroic performances during the 1994 FIFA World Cup in the United States, where he became a household name for his exceptional goalkeeping skills.
The Governor extended heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of the deceased, the Nigeria Football Federation, former teammates, and the entire Nigerian football community.
Governor Radda further prayed that Almighty Allah forgive the departed shortcomings and gives his family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
