Senator Lalong condoles senators Plang, Gyang over loss of loved ones
The former Governor of Plateau State and Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District Simon Bako Lalong has paid condolence visit to his colleague representing Plateau Central Diket Plang over the demise of his wife Prof. Janet who died recently in Jos.
Lalong who was accompanied by some former members of his Cabinet visited the Rayfield residence of the Senator to console him over the death of his beloved wife.
He described her as a great pillar of support and an accomplished academic who served with diligence, excellence and compassion.
Lalong urged the Senator and members of his family to accept the demise as God’s will and continue to sustain her legacies.
Responding, Senator Diket Plang appreciated the former Governor for the visit and described him as a man of compassion, forgiveness and uncommon humility.
He said the family and indeed his kinsmen are indebted to him for the love and benevolence which saw him getting elected to the Senate.
Diket said his wife was a mother, friend and partner of inestimable value who fought a good fight.
Similarly, Senator Lalong also visited the residence of the former Senator representing Plateau North Senatorial District Hon. Istifanus Gyang to commiserate with him over the demise of his mother.
Lalong said the death of mama at the age of 95 though painful, calls for celebration as she lived a fruitful life and successfully raised her children having lost her husband in 1976.
He prayed God to grant her soul eternal rest and comfort the family.
While thanking Lalong and his entourage for the visit, Senator ID Gyang described Lalong as a man who has unity and peace in his focus and does not hesitate to demonstrate it.
He described mama as a strong woman who withstood the pain of widowhood and made sacrifices to raise them.
