Taraba Council chairman confirms arrest of three over killing of farmer in Sarkin- Kudu

The Council chairman of Ibi local government area of Taraba State, Alhaji Iliya Jibu on Sunday confirmed the arrest of three suspects who allegedly murdered one Adamu Sale while working in his farm in Gidan Kye, Sarkin Kudu, Ibi local government area of the state.
Jibu, who stated this while speaking to Journalists via telephone conversation, said he will follow the case to ensure that justice prevailed.
“I won’t sleep until justice prevail, how can an innocent farmer to go farm to struggle for what to eat and got killed while working on his farm.
“This is indeed unacceptable, his killers must be brought to book, we love each other and no one can take laws into his or her hands” he noted.
“Security operatives in the local government area must seat up, for some of them are frustrating governor Kefas peace mantra.
“We were reliably informed that those who masterminded the killing of Adamu Sale after their initial arrest were released and even giving cover by some security personnels to return back to their homes.
“It was when we went out of our ways that we got them re-arrested, we will never give room for criminals to continue to strive in our place.
He disclose that the three suspects arrested are Tarock by tribe from Plateau state and they are called Nanfan Nimmak, Amos and Pastor Volnap.
“Ibi local government would continue to be unsafe heaven for kidnappers, banditry and all forms of criminality,” he said.
