Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District Simon Bako Lalong and leader of the party in the state joined the National Chairman of the APC Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda Goshewe for his first visit to his home state since his election.
The visit, described as private, enabled the Chairman the opportunity to hold consultations and receive prayers and blessings from religious and royal leaders.
The Chairman and his delegation were received at the Yakubu Gowon Airport Heipang on Wednesday by teeming supporters and State party officials who defied the early morning rains.
They later proceeded to meet with leadership of the Christian and Muslim communities in Plateau State.
The APC Governors were led by Imo State Governor and Chairman of the APC Governors Forum, Hope Uzodinma, Governor Usman Ododo of Kogi, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia of Benue and Ahmad Aliyu of Sokoto State.
Former Governor Joshua Dariye and former Deputy Speaker House of Representatives Rt. Hon. Idris Wase also joined the delegation.
