The residence of Senator Simon Lalong came alive on Thursday as he hosted a reception in honor of the newly inaugurated Managing Director of the North Central Development Commission, Dr. Cyril Tsenyil.
Guests particularly APC supporters from far and near trooped to the residence of the former Plateau State Governor to congratulate him for making it possible for the appointment of Dr. Cyril Tsenyil through his doggedness and wide contacts.
This was contained in a statement by Special Adviser, Media to Senator Lalong, Dr. Makut Simon Macham.
Lalong was joined by the Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State Dr. Emmanuel Akabe, Senator Diket Plang, former Governor of Niger State and Senator representing Niger North, Abubakar Sani Bello, among other top politicians.
Lalong said he was happy that the appointment and inauguration of Dr. Cyril Tsenyil as Managing Director of the North Central Development Commission has been welcomed as a collective victory for the people of Plateau State and the North Central in general.
Senator Lalong thanked President Bola Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker Tajjudeen Abbas, Governors of Kwara, Nasarawa, Kogi, Niger, Plateau, and the FCT for working together to ensure that all interests are carried along.
He also charged Dr. Cyril Tsenyil to work with the Board and Management in ensuring that there is synergy for effective performance.
In a remark, Senator Diket Plang representing Plateau Central paid tribute to Senator Lalong for playing a great role towards the appointment of Dr. Cyril Tsenyil.
Former Governor of Niger State Senator Abubakar Sani Bello congratulated Dr. Cyril Tsenyil for his appointment and urged him to ensure that all states are carried along in project implementation.
Nasarawa State Deputy Governor Dr. Emmanuel Akabe rejoiced with the inauguration of the management and Board but pleaded with the people to avoid mounting pressure on the MD and other appointees.
Senator Bala ibn Na’Allah and Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Naanlong Daniel Gapyil also joined in congratulating the Managing Director and his team.
