Nasarawa Governor Sule announces office accommodation for smooth takeoff of NCDC

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has announced the provision of office accommodation for the smooth takeoff of the North Central Development Commission (NCDC) in the state.
Gov Sule made the announcement at the inauguration of the NCDC Board in Abuja.
The Governor who was represented by the Secretary to the Government of Nasarawa State, Dr Labaran Magaji, said his administration was committed to stronger collaboration with the newly inaugurated NCDC Board.
Sule applauded President Bola Tinubu for the creation of the Regional Development Commissions and also congratulated the appointees for the successful inauguration.
“On behalf of His Excellency Engineer Abdullahi A. Sule, I wish to state here that as part of the commitment to ensure smooth take off of the commission, we have provided a befitting office accommodation in Lafia, the Headquarters of the NCDC, ” he announced.
Dr Labaran Magaji was accompanied by the state Accountant General, Dr Musa Ahmed, Nasarawa State APC Chairman, Dr Aliyu Bello, and the Permanent Secretary, Political Affairs, SSG office, Abubakar Mai Sudan.
Speaking while inaugurating the Board, the Minister of Regional Development, Engineer Abubakar Momoh, warned board members of the Commission to stay away from corrupt practices, especially in the award of contracts.
The Minister said the aims of creating the Regional Development Commissions by President Bola Tinubu were to promote fairness, equity, balance, and grassroots development in line with the renewed hope agenda.
Momoh tasked the NCDC Board to work toward ensuring effective agricultural and mining development in the Zone.
He noted that the intention of the President for the establishment of the NCDC was to bring development to the North Central
and must be taken seriously to achieve the purpose.
In her goodwill message, Minister of Women Affairs, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman Ibrahim, commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for giving women a fair share of representation in the boards, even as she advocated for more.
Speaking on behalf of other board members, Chairman of the NCDC Board, Cosmos T. Akyhir, assured them of their readiness to hit the ground running.
It will be recalled that the Minister of Regional Development, Engineer Abubakar Momoh, also inaugurated the Boards of the South South and the South West Development Commissions respectively.
