It is not every day that the esteemed District Head of Duhu, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi, in Madagali LGA of Adamawa State honours a deserving, worthy and eminent daughter of the town who has distinguished herself, family and community by exemplary acts of kindness, generosity and compassion to the adults, women, youths, children as well as the physically challenged, the infirm, the indigent and other vulnerable persons of society.
However, on this special day, the 8th of November 2025, the Traditional Ruler of Duhu extended his royal recognition to a seasoned technocrat, consummate media guru and acclaimed philanthropist par excellence, Mrs Regina Dimlong, the Saranuiyan Duhu for her charitable contributions and welfarist provisions to the Duhu people, Madagali LGA, Adamawa State and beyond.
According to a deeply appreciative Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi in a royal message to Mrs Dimlong on behalf of Duhu District and the entire Madagali LGA,: ‘l wish to express our heartfelt appreciation for your continous support, generosity and unwavering contributions to the development and wellbeing of our community’ .
Your outstanding contributions towards the advancement of agricultural development through the provision of modern equipment and tools.., in the area of health, your consistent provision of essential medical equipment and health related needs.. your compassionate outreach to the less privileged, widows and internally displaced persons (IDPs), through the provision of clothing materials and other relief materials has brought comfort, dignity and renewed hope to many families’
The District Head further noted Mrs Regina Dimlong’s profound contributions towards ensuring safety and peace within Madagali LGA, and extolled her ‘exemplary acts of service, compassion’ and leadership that has continued to inspire the community while beseeching the Almighty God to grant the resilient Saranuiyan Duhu ‘continued strength and success in all her endeavours’
Indeed, many who have had cause to interact with the adroit, humble and hardworking Mrs Regina Dimlong either in her office at the Nigerian Deposit lnsurance Corporation (NDIC) or in her private capacity, would doubtless agree with this resounding citation by the venerable Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi.
Mrs Regina Dimlong is a rare gem that has touched countless lives and livelihoods wherever she touches base, be it in Duhu, Madagali LGA, Adamawa State, Abuja, her official residence or in between.
The unassuming but astute Mrs Dimlong has built a credible reputation for resilience, hardwork, competence, unvarnished professionalism and exemplary professionalism not to talk of her renowned charitable, benevolent and philanthropic disposition.
In her workplace, the durable Saranuiyan Duhu has received deserved plaudits for her inclusive and accommodating leadership style that is open to all persons, ideas, opinions and perspectives as far as they are geared towards moving the NDIC and the nation forward in the crucial scheme of things.
And true to form, Mrs Regina Dimlong carries out her official duties and operations in strict adherence to the cherished tenets of probity, transparency, accountability, due process and the rule of law.
She is amiable, pragmatic, creative and resourceful with no truck for cronyism, favouritism and godfatherism in whatever form or guise.
In Mrs Dimlong’s impartial domain, hardworking and competent staff are duly rewarded and promoted while persistent laggards and chronic malcontents are advised to better shape up or be shipped out, no more, no less.
