By Sunny A. David, Awka

Supporters of Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, gathered in Nteje to celebrate his resounding victory in the election held 8th November, 2025.

The jubilant supporters also used the occasion to urge the Governor to intensify his developmental efforts across the State as he begins his new term.

The celebration took place at the Palace of the traditional ruler-elect of Nteje, Chief Chris Nnebo, where residents danced, expressed joy, and thanked God for the successful outcome of the polls.

Speaking to journalists, Chief Nnebo praised the Governor’s performance over the past term, noting that his achievements earned him the overwhelming support of Anambra people.

He said: “The Governor has performed well, and that is why the entire State voted for him. Our message is simple: he should sustain the momentum and even do more to justify the trust the people have placed in him.”

He also encouraged the Governor to be inclusive as he commences his renewed mandate.

Earlier, while addressing the crowd, Chief Nnebo explained that the gathering was not only to celebrate Soludo’s victory but also to appreciate the commitment of APGA members in Nteje.

According to him, all five political wards and 63 polling units in the community delivered votes for APGA in the election.

Also speaking at the event, Chief Chidiebele Obika, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media and a native of Nteje, applauded Soludo for the numerous projects already completed in the community. He further appealed for additional road projects to enhance development.

Obika noted that Nteje voted overwhelmingly for the Governor, with no polling unit won by any other party.

He added: “Our people remained steadfast in supporting APGA despite strong opposition from a candidate in the neighboring Umueri community. We gathered here to thank Chief Chris Nnebo, our party leader and Igwe-elect, and to appreciate the community for standing firm.”
