Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCSN) has commended Hon Silas Ali Agara for his sterling leadership as Director General of National Directorate of Employment, (NDE).
Secretary General of the Association, Comrade Joshua Afegbo, made the commendation when he led a delegation on a courtesy visit to the DG of NDE at its new headquarters in Gudu, Garki, Abuja.
According to him, “I commend His Excellency, Silas Agara’s proactive approach towards growth and development of the country by completion and relocation of NDE from a rented building to a permanent headquarters.
“Settlement of outstanding debts, introduction of Computer-Based Tests (CBT) for staff promotions, making staff improved computer literacy, writing exams from their city of residence instead of traveling to Abuja; And introduction and success of empowerment of youth under the President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Employment Initiatives 1 & 2 and for support to unions,” he said.
In his remarks, Silas Agara said, “I am supporting unionism in NDE towards empowerment of youth, I am happy working with the union under ASCSN NDE President, Comrade Princewill Esara, for his support. My team is improving staff welfare, improved transportation, training and promotions.
NDE DG said that his administration would maintain open-door policy based on international best practice.
