Nigeria Shooting Federation President Shettima seeks partnership with Dakar 2026 Youth Olympics Organizing Committee

President of Nigeria Shooting Sport Federation, Commodore Mohammed Shettima, is seeking collaboration with organizers of the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympics to develop Shooting Sport in Nigeria.
In a recent visit to Dakar 2026 Youth Olympics Organizing Committee, in Senegal, Commodore Shettima, was warmly received by the Senior Engagement Director of the Multi-Sports Events, Madam Fanta Diallo, both parties discussed areas of mutual benefits to promote deeper collaborations, particularly in the area of Shooting Sport development.
This was contained in a statement by Eche Amos, Director of Media, Nigeria Shooting Sport Federation, (NSSF).
The NSSF President who assumed office on 25th September, 2025, told the Dakar Olympics Organizing Committee’s representative that Nigeria has a lot of potentials in sports, particularly in Shooting Sport, to galvanize global milestones, adding that the partnership would open the pathway to African sporting excellence on the global stage.
In her brief remarks, Madam Fanta pledged to work closely with the NSSF and Nigeria Olympics Committee to achieve mutual benefits.
