International Peace and Conflict Management University honours former Kogi Deputy Governor, Dr. Salawu with honorary degree

Former Deputy Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Phillips Omeiza Salawu has been honoured with a Doctor of Philosophy in Political Science, (Honoris Causa) by the International Peace and Conflict Management University, (IPCMU), at the Adankolo Campus of the Federal University of Lokoja, Kogi State; for his Exceptional Leadership and Governance Expertise.

The honour took place on Wednesday 26th of November 2025.

Dr. Salawu, B.Sc, M.Sc, PhD, D.Sc,
PhD, FCA, FCIB, FCS, FCTI, FFIA, FCCrFA,
FCCFI, CPFA, AICMC, LLB, BL, is a Chartered Corporate Accountant, a Chartered Public Finance Accountant, Chartered Banker, Chartered StockBroker, Chartered Mediator, Certified Forensic Auditor, Certified Fraud Examiner and a Barrister and a Solicitor, among others.

He was the pioneer Director of Finance of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) before becoming Kogi State Deputy Governor.

Dr. Salawu is a Top Contender from the North Central GeoPolitical Zone for the PDP National Chairmanship Portfolio.
