Governor Radda showcases Katsina’s investment potential at G20

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has positioned the state as a top investment destination in northern Nigeria during a strategic side event at the G20 Summit in South Africa.

The governor, spoke on the event themed “Nigeria’s G20 Aspirations: Driving Africa’s Sustainable Infrastructure for Industrialization: Investing in Nigeria Solid Minerals for Inclusive Growth and Green Transition,” highlighted investment opportunities across the northwest, with particular focus on Katsina State.

Governor Radda emphasized Katsina’s rapid progress in building a modern economy through expanded fibre infrastructure, digital reforms, improved logistics, and a unified one-government approach that strengthens the business environment.

“Katsina State is building the foundations of a 21st-century economy. From digital infrastructure to policy stability, we are creating an environment where investors can thrive,” the governor stated.

He spotlighted the state’s rich mineral assets, including lithium and key industrial minerals, noting Katsina’s commitment to responsible extraction, value addition, and partnerships that support Nigeria’s green-transition goals.

“Our mineral wealth is not just for extraction—it’s for transformation. We are committed to value addition that creates jobs, drives industrialization, and supports sustainable development,” Radda added.

The governor presented Katsina as powered by policy stability, a rising technology ecosystem, improved security, and a young, dynamic population ready for industrial and digital growth.

He outlined investment opportunities in mineral processing, renewable energy, technology-driven agriculture, and digital innovation across ten northwest states.

“As Nigeria deepens its engagement with the G20, Katsina stands ready with real opportunities for sustainable industrialization and green development,” the governor declared.

The G20 side event focused on investing in Nigeria’s solid minerals for inclusive growth and green transition, aligning with global sustainability goals.
