A respected religious leader,
His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, has warned that greedy and wicked political, religious and traditional leaders across the world will face uncontrollable challenges in the year 2026.
In his New Year message delivered at his world headquarters in Calabar, Cross River State, during the New Year service, he addressed an arrays of spiritual and pressing global, leadership, and moral concerns.
According to Olumba Obu, the year 2026 will mark a period of divine judgement in which corrupt community and wicked heads of institutions will be exposed across the globe.
He said the era would be characterised by the triumph of justice, as “masks will fall and hidden intentions will come to light.”
He cautioned that leaders who govern with arrogance, greed, and wickedness would encounter severe and uncontrollable challenges, while those who lead with humility, righteousness, and reverence for God would receive divine backing and guidance through the Holy Spirit.
Speaking on the increasing spread of wars, armament proliferation, and global unrest,
Olumba Obu whom his faithful as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, spoke on the increasing spread of wars, armament proliferation, and global unrest.
Obu called on world leaders to abandon instruments of destruction and embrace peace, dialogue, reconciliation, and justice.
He prayed that 2026 would be remembered globally as a year of divine restoration rather than destruction.
Addressing presidents, prime ministers, monarchs, governors, lawmakers, traditional rulers, captains of industry, and other custodians of public trust, the spiritual leader described 2026 as a divinely ordained year that would test leadership integrity and reveal hidden motives.
According to him, the year is “not opened by political calendars, but by divine authority.”
He described it as a “Great Year” ordained by God—one that demands wisdom beyond human strategy, humility beyond titles, and obedience beyond ambition.
To members of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, Olumba Obu assured them of divine protection, guidance, and victory throughout the year, declaring that God’s glory would surround them as a shield.
