APC e-registration: Nasarawa SSG urges massive participation across wards

The Secretary to the Nasarawa State Government, Dr Labaran Magaji has called on the people of Toto Local Government Area to come out en masse to participate in the ongoing e-registration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across wards.

Magaji made the call shortly after performing his e-registration at the Toto Local Government Secretariat.

The Secretary of State, while explaining that e-registration was a national exercise of the party, noted that it would determine the party’s strength at all levels.

“The e-registration is a national event organised by our great party, APC. And it is expected that everybody who is a card-carrying member of the APC is to go back to their ward to make sure that they get registered.

“And so, that is why every member of the state, the executive council, the legislative, arm of government, decided to come today en masse, talk to our people, highlight the importance of this exercise to our people.

Magaji applauded the APC-led administration under the leadership of Governor Abdullahi Sule, particularly his efforts to promote peace and unity in the Toto Local Government.

He noted that the people of the Toto Local Government were highly impressed with the infrastructural development and many other projects under the APC-led government, particularly the Toto Umaisha Road.

“We have resolved to pay a solidarity visit to the Governor to show our commitment to his administration, to show our loyalty to his style of leadership, and to also appreciate him for all the good deeds he has done to Toto LGA,” he stated.

Also speaking, Dr Yarus Dagusa, Nasarawa State APC Secretary, while underscoring e-registration, noted that it would help the party to have accurate data of its members.

“e-registration will enable us to know our number, know where we are coming from, know who we are, so that at any point in time, we should be able to speak very clearly. That this is our strength, and this is what you intend to do for us to plan properly in every zone,” he explained.

Earlier speaking, Pharm. Baba- Ahmed Yahaya, Chairman, Toto Local Government Area, while appreciating the massive turnout for the e-registration, pledged to ensure a smooth exercise in the Area

“We assure you, and all stakeholders, including the Governor, that we will do the best we can, that Toto has optimal mobilizations and statutory decisions that stand as a reference to other local governments to copy,” he assured.

The APC e-registration brought stakeholders together, including Dr Gaza Gwamna, Commissioner for Health, Dr Muhammed Musa Maikaya, Mohammed Garba Isimbabi and Ibrahim Sa’ad Abdullahi, members representing Toto/Gadabuke, and Umaisha/Ugya in the State House Assembly.
