NCDC MD mourns former Plateau State University VC, Professor Izam
The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the North Central Development Commission (NCDC), Dr. Cyril Tsenyil, has received with profound shock and deep sadness the news of the passing of Prof. Yohanna Izam, former Vice Chancellor of Plateau State University, Bokkos.
Dr. Tsenyil described the late Prof. Izam as a consummate academic, astute administrator, and passionate development advocate whose life was devoted to service, excellence, and the advancement of Plateau State and Nigeria at large.
According to him, the demise of Prof. Izam is a big loss not only to his immediate family but to the academic community, public service, and all those who shared his vision for a better Plateau and Nigeria.
He said having worked closely with Prof. Izam, he attests to his passion for the development of Plateau State and the success of the Rescue Administration under former Governor Simon Lalong, where his commitment was unquestionable as he demonstrated unwavering loyalty to the collective vision of the government at all times.
Dr. Tsenyil said it is therefore not surprising that as Vice Chancellor of Plateau State University, Bokkos, Prof. Izam worked hard to revival and stabilize the institution, making it a source of pride to the State and nation at large.
The NCDC Managing Director said he has lost a dependable colleague, a bridge builder, and a trusted friend whose counsel and commitment to development was deeply valued.
He extends his heartfelt condolences to the Izam family, the Government and people of Plateau State, the Plateau State University community, and all those whose lives were touched by the impactful legacy of Prof. Yohanna Daniel Izam.
