Taraba monarch, stakeholders praise Governor Kefas for delivering quality projects

The Aku Uka of Wukari, Dr. Ishaku Ada Ali, has commended the Governor of the State, Dr Agbu Kefas for the ongoing developmental projects in Southern Taraba and other parts of the state.

The monarch who disclosed this when he led delegation of traditional rulers and stakeholders from Wukari local government on a solidarity visit on the governor in Jalingo on Thursday praised Dr. Kefas for initiating several projects in Wukari and other parts of the State.

Dr Ishaku Ada Ali described the ongoing construction of internal roads in Wukari, the Takum Junction flyover, the Forward Operating Base at Ikyaior, and the Wukari-Kente-Riti road as a major breakthrough by the Kefas administration.

He said the projects, when completed, would have lasting economic and social impact on the lives of the people of the southern zone and reaffirmed traditional rulers’ support for the Kefas administration.

Responding, Governor Kefas thanked the paramount ruler, the traditional rulers and the stakeholders from Wukari for the solidarity visit.

The governor reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive governance, noting that Taraba’s more than 80 ethnic groups deserved representation and opportunities, that his administration will strive to deliver people’s oriented projects across the three Senatorial zones of the state.

Dr Agbu Kefas dismissed speculations of a strained relationship with elder statesman and former Defence Minister, General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma (rtd.), describing their ties as “sound, firm and solid.”

He said the retired general was fully aware of his leadership capacity and vision for the state, and was not swayed by critics.

“Some people go to General Danjuma to criticise me, but he knows me better than they do,” he said.
