A former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Aliyu Idi Hong has resigned his membership from Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In a statement made on Monday, February 9, 2026 made available to journalists in Yola, Dr. Hong said his decision was personal after wide constructions with family members, friends, and political associates.
”I write to formerly tender my resignation for the PDP Shangui ward, Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa state,” the statement noted.
He also said his decision was after careful reflection on the previewing circumferences and his future political direction.
Dr. Hong thanked the party at the ward, local government and state levels for the support and co-operation extended to him over the years.
