Anambra moves to restore peace in Obosi, vows to tackle cultism, violence

Anambra State Government has assured the people of Obosi in Idemili North Local Government Area that all violence and cult activities will soon be over while lasting peace would be restored to the community within the next one week.
Governor Willie Obiano gave the assurance during his Thank You Tour to the community.
During the event differences between Mr. Omezie Chukwurah, popularly called Governor Obosi and the traditional ruler of Obosi, Igwe Chidubem Iweka were resolved at the Afor Adike Stadium, Obosi.

Responding the Traditional Ruler of Obosi, Igwe Iweka who said that peace and unity are important for progress to thrive, accepted apologies tendered by Mr. Omezie Chukwurah who revealed that more than sixty people had been killed in the area, urging youths to stop all cult activities in the Community.
Stakeholders in the area including the member representing Idemili North, in the state House of Assembly Hon. Mrs. Nkoli Mmegbuanaeze, former Defence Minister, Engineer Dan Chuke, Provost of College of Health Technology, Obosi, Dr. Amaechi Mgbakogu, among others rooted for the party which they described as people and development oriented.
Projects in Obosi were earlier highlighted by the Commissioner for Works, Mr. Marcel Ifejiofor, represented by the Managing Director of Anambra State Road Maintainace Agency ARMA Mr. Emeka Okoye which he said, makes it imperative for the people to continue to supporting APGA to continue it’s good works.
The Governor was accompanied by his wife, Chief Mrs. Ebelechukwu Obiano frontline Party candidates in the area, and others, stakeholders while APGA solidarity songs and anthem featured at the event.
