The two vehicles set ablaze by irate mob

Tragedy struck at Nnewi, Anambra State, as eight persons lost their lives in a fatal accident which happened along Oba-Okigwe Road.
An eyewitness told Apex News that a soak away truck while trying to avoid a trailer parked along the road ran into a tricycle and a motorcycle conveying children to school.
The parked trailer, according to our source, is owned by a popular Nnewi importer.
Efforts by men and officers of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) to rescue the victims did not yield any positive dividend as they died on the spot.
Irate mob immediately set alight the trailer which was fully loaded with alcohol as well as the soak away truck.
Another eyewitness who identified herself as Ngozi told our correspondent that the most pathetic of all was a woman who was taking her children to school only for her and children to meet an untimely death.
