May 29: PDP sure of taking over government in Bauchi

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bauchi has expressed optimism that it will by God’s grace be on the saddle in the rule of the state comes May 29, 2019.
A PDP stalwart in the state and former Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Abdul Ahmed Ningi recently while debunking insinuations that APC will not hand-over the state due to court cases against the governor-elect, Senator Bala Mohammed, said the mandate is constitutional.
To this end, he said, a 516-member inauguration committee has been constituted to pave way for a smooth take-over from the ruling APC administration comes 29th May, 2019.
Senator Abdul Ningi, who heads the inauguration committee of governor-elect, said it has six sub-committees that are Mobilization, Security, Protocol, Accommodation, Venue and Publicity.
He gave some members of the inauguration committee as the deputy governor-elect, Senator Baba Tela, State PDP Chairman – Hamza Ibrahim Koshe Akuyam, Senator Adamu Ibrahim Gumba, Alhaji Tanko Dutse, Hamisu Mu’azu Shira, Bappah Haruna Disina, and Shitu Haruna Zaki,
Others included Chikasoro Abdulkadir Mohammed, Alhaji Bala Hadith, Alhaji Mahmood Maijama’a, Zainab A. D. Rufa’I Misau, Isa Babayo Tilde, Hon. Ahmed Yerima, Yerima Saleh Misau, Abdullahi Musa Gwaram, and Pharmacist Sama’ila Burga with Maula Adamu Aliyu as Secretary.
Ningi, who described the committee members’ job as contributory, sacrificial and supportive, called on them to give their maximum support to ensure a smooth and hitch-free hand-over and take-over ceremony comes May 29, 2019.
Speaking on behalf of the committee’s inaugurated members, its deputy chairman, Alhaji Tanko Dutse expressed gratitude for the opportunity afforded them to serve, and promised to justify the confidence repose in them.
Members of the inauguration committee were presented appointment letters during the occasion at Command Guest in conference hall Bauchi.
