The Public Affairs Section of the United States Embassy is to hold the 2nd Technovation 2019 Regional pitch on Friday, May 24, 2019.
The program promotes Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education among schoolgirls.
According to a statement from the Embassy emailed to Apex News on Thursday, working in teams, the students will ideate, design, and build mobile applications around everyday challenges facing their communities and pitch their solutions to a panel of judges.
The statement added that more than 40 teams are expected to compete in the Abuja, Nigeria regional pitch and at the end, two teams will have the chance to represent Nigeria August, 2019 in California, USA.
