Ultra-modern health centre inaugurated at Enugwu -Otu Aguleri

The Anambra State Commissioner for Health Dr. Vincent Okpala says providing quality health services to Ndi Anambra has remained top on the Agenda of the present administration.
Dr. Okpala stated this during the launching of an ultra modern Health Center at Enugwu- Otu Agulelri, Anambra East Council Area.
The event which was held at Enugwu Otu Primary School reports that the event also featured the 2019 Unity Cup Championship of Enugwu-Otu Aguleri where Umugama village won the Unity Cup Championship.
The team beat their opponents, Umuakwu Ora-Ito two goals to nothing making them the second runner up while Umueni Oruba took the third position.
The 2019 Unity Cup which was powered by Enugwu-Otu Progressive Forum, Aguleri, was to bring unity, oneness, brotherliness and love amongst the youths and all the seven villages that make up, Enugwu-Otu, Aguleri.
Addressing the members of the community, Dr. Okpala said state government is ready to support the community so that they will have easy assess to health services.
Represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr. John Ndibe, Dr. Okpala commended the community for the bold step taken in executing the project as government cannot do it alone .
He also enlightened them on the benefits of immunization, regular check up and regular hand washing even as he advised them to stop open defecation and other act that could cause health hazards.
The National Coordinator of Enugwu-Otu Progressive Forum, Brother Pius Machi said the program was aimed at restoring the age long unity and brotherliness of the community and well bring development and progress to their town.
While praying for the community earlier, the Parish Priest of Saint Paul’s Catholic church, Enugwu-Otu, Aguleri, Reverend Father Pascal Uzzih, thanked God for the development and progress of the community encouraging them to strive hard to be their brothers keepers and always hold on to prayers.
Another stakeholder in the community, Mr. Julius Chukwuemeka called for adherence to the Akulue uno mantra of the present administration, stating that by so doing, their community will be developing gradually, encouraging the youths to always engage in things that will promote peace and progress.
Presentation of meritorious awards to some sons of the community including, Chief Chinedu Obidigwe who is the member representing Anambra East and West in the House of Representatives and Chief Innocent Ogugua as well as presentation of trophies to the winners of the 2019 Unity Cup featured at the event.
