We'll probe past corrupt public office holders – Adamawa Fintiri


Adamawa State Governor, Fintiri alights from the plane from Abuja after the Supreme Court victory

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has vowed that his administration will probe past corrupt public office holders who have siphoned public funds that meant for the development of the state.
He made this known while addressing a mammoth crowed of supporters during a victory mega rally at Mahumud Ribadu Square, Yola following the Supreme Court verdict on Tuesday that affirmed his election.
The Governor explained that corrupt practices perpetrated in the previous administrations have crippled especially local government administrations in the state and the entire system of governance.
He added that the present administration has zero tolerance to corrupt and as such no any corrupt government official will be spared in order to restore sanity in governance and to serve as deterrent to others.


Fintiri, right at the rally


Governor Umaru Fintiri said under his administration security of lives and property has improved significantly and he will continue to do his best in all ramifications for the good of the state.
He thanked God for his victory at the supreme court and saluted the people of Adamawa for electing him, calling on opposition parties in the state to come and join hands with him in order to move the state forward.
Speaking earlier, the State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP Barrister Tahir Shehu expressed joy over the Supreme court verdict and declared that the party will continue to rule the state to greater heights.
Earlier a rally was held from Yola International Airport through Galadima Aminu Way to Atiku Abubakar Way and Muhammed Mustafa Way and terminated at Mahmud Ribadu Square, Yola.
