Adamawa Governor, Fintiri meets monarchs, deliberate on insecurity

Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri Monday commended traditional rulers in the state for the support and prayers given to his administration since assumption into office and urged them to maintain the momentum.
The Governor made the commendation when he received first class emirs and chiefs in the state led by the Lamido of Adamawa, Dr Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Mustafa in the Council Chamber, Government House, Yola.
He said traditional rulers as custodians of culture, the present administration will continue to accord them due regard and work with them in the areas of security so that the state will continue to coexist peacefully and developed.
Governor Fintiri told the first class emirs and chiefs that government so far has taken tough decisions for the betterment of the state and pledged to leave behind a legacy that will be memorable in the state.

Earlier in his remark, Lamido Adamawa Dr Mustafa commended Governor Fintiri for achievements recorded by his administration in the state and urged him to maintain the spirit for the development of Adamawa.
The Lamido who went down memory lent to the influence of traditional rulers before and during the colonial era in the maintenance of peace and security, assured the Governor their support and prayers for his success in taking Adamawa to greater heights.
The meeting thereafter went into a closed door.
