Adamawa secretary to government, Ahmad lauds North-East Commission’s COVID-19 donation

The State Chairman COVID-19 Containment Committee who is the Secretary to the State Government, Malam Bashir Ahmad has applauded the gesture of the North East Development Commission (NEDC) in contributing items to assist in the fight against coronavirus in the state
The Chairman of the Committee who made the commendation when he received the items from the NEDC at the Specialist Hospital Yola, called on other philanthropic individuals and organizations to emulate the gesture towards containment of COVID-19 in Adamawa.
In a statement by the Senior Special Assistant on New Media to the Governor, Muhammad B. Tukur, Malam Ahmad thanked the NEDC for its contribution in the fight against COVID-19 in the state, stressing that though no case has been recorded, assured that the committee is up and doing and the state government is getting prepared in case of any eventuality.

He said the fight against the pandemic requires collective effort of all and sundry for the best interest of the state and appreciated Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for entrusting the task on them promising that the committee will do its best.
Items received for the state and Federal Medical Center FMC Yola include one thousand Personal Protective Equipment PPE kits for state and eight hundred for FMC, six hundred surgical mask for state four hundred for FMC, three hundred ordinary mask for state and two hundred for FMC.
Others were twenty infrared for state, twelve for FMC, two hundred and forty packets of hand gloves for state, one hundred and sixty for FMC, two hundred and forty hand sanitizer for state, one hundred and sixty for FMC and two ventilators for state only.
