The Emir of Daura, Alhaji Faruk. He lost his wife, Hajiya Binta
The remains of Hajiya Binta, wife of Emir of Daura in Katsina State, Umar Faruk was been buried Friday at the Makabartar Gabas after a funeral prayers at the palace of the emir.
Binta, aged 70, died in the early hours of Friday after an illness spanning nine years.
The chief Imam of Daura Malam Salisu Rabiu who led the prayers that was attended by the emir, traditional title holders and other district heads, prayed for the repose of her soul and the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
According to the palace spokesman, Usman Ibrahim, Hajiya Binta is survived by six children and many grand children among whom the district head of Baure and Dan Buram Alhaji Daha Mohammed Umar Faruk.
