COVID-19: how I spent 40 days of isolation- Atiku’s son

The son of Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, (PDP), in last year elections, Mohammed has disclosed that he spent about 40 days in isolation when he was undergoing treatment of COVID-19.

Mohammed, who was among the first people in Nigeria to be infected with the deadly virus said he was actually troubled when he learned of his infection of the disease.

He spoke in a Voice of America, (VOA), Hausa service interview which was aired early Thursday morning.

According to him, he can’t say where exactly he contracted the disease, though he returned to the country after a trip abroad; eventhough he did not disclosed which country or countries he visited.

He commended the government for given him and other patients, good care while on isolation at the Gwagwalada specialist hospital, which he added was free if charge.

Mohammed  thanked Nigerians for their prayers and concerns over his health and added that he was happy when he was told he is free from COVID-19 and advised Nigerians to take seriously, advise of health workers on how to avoid infection.
