There is strong indications that communities within Gombe and environs is witnessing a mass spread of Coronavirus according to a report.
The report also show that since inception of the virus in Gombe which five persons were tested positive has continue to generate increase of the virus that said most community within the state have been spread massively with the virus.
According to daily statistics of COVD-19 issued by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on the 14th of June clearly stated that the rise of the spread of the Coronavirus in Gombe recorded 73 active cases that lives with the virus ahead Lagos State.
Chairman of tasks force committee on COVID-19 in Gombe State Prof. Idris Mohammed while briefing Journalists on Monday said no fewer than 3,668 persons so far have been tested for the virus within stipulated time of 2 weeks.
According to him, within 2 weeks, out of the number tested for COVID-19 in the state 250 result return positive.
While encouraging the public to avail themselves for testing the chairman said no course for alarm pointed out that the committee has taken drastic measure to fight against the virus and called on them not panic about the disease.
